Character “ş” gets converted as a dot (.) when editing HTML files in the File Manager.

If I had to guess, I’d say that the file manager isn’t using the same character sets as your keyboard.
However, the file manager is not recommended for editing files (this is just one reason why) youd be far better off downloading the file, editing it and then reuploading
Can you please explain the issue in a bit more detail?
When and where exactly does it appear as a dot? Does it change in the editor right away, does it happen when the file is saved, or do you only see it on your website?
Right in the editor screen in file manager i click on htmt to edit it, while I am typing the character ş doesn’t even appear on screen at all—the moment I hit the ş key on my keyboard, a dot (.) shows up immediately instead of the letter ş.
That sounds like a character set incompatibility with the file manager. So whatever encoding it’s using uses the b same code for . as your keyboard uses for ş
I think the best work around would be to edit on your pc and upload the file then not open it in the file manager.
It’s not really made for editing files anyway
