Today I signed up for Profreehost and all the functions were the same as InfinityFree; same limits, same features, and the only difference seemed to be additional features (which unfortunately require Premium) and the ability to (I think) talk with them instead of having to go to the forum and mention the admin. Also, I want a free domain as Profreehost has a longer .unaux.com subdomain as the shortest possible one. I don’t care if my website is (the name).ohmygodthisisnøtasubdòmain, as long as it is not a subdomain. If I can work out how, I might use one for an InfinityFree hosted website too. Freenom is down. Dot TK is the same thing as Freenom. And I don’t want to input my phone number and address either. Not even my credit card. And a £0.01 price tag for a free domain is not correct, it isn’t free.
The answer to this is the same as the last time you brought it up.
There are options, but they require your personal information that you don’t want to give.
What you’re looking for simply doesn’t exist. I’m sorry, but that’s how life is sometimes. A domain name you pay for also requires your address and phone number, but you can also get Whois protection along with your domain (many domain registrars include it for free now) so that info still wouldn’t be available to the public. If you can’t pay for a domain, just use a free subdomain until you can, or one of those options listed in the thread above.
Well, anyway, the original question, what is the difference between InfinityFree and ProFreeHost?
Not much. The backend is the exact same for both, only the client area differs.
The hosting from ProFreeHost and InfinityFree is mostly the same, because we both use the same underlying platform. I’d say ProFreeHost today looks very similar to what InfinityFree looked like around 2018.
What happened with InfinityFree afterward is the main change. The main difference is our free SSL options, which are integrated with the hosting platform to make it as easy as possible. Also, most features in the control panel are now available in the client area, where the are always easier to use and sometimes more powerful.
I would say going with InfinityFree is a no-brainer and InfinityFree is objectively superior. But of course, I’m biased.
I would also like to add that while both have community support forums, InfintiyFree’s is much more active. So if you need specific assistance with anything, you probably have a better chance of getting quick help if you use InfinityFree.
Yes I agree. ProFreeHost doesn’t offer the really short .rf.gd domain, nor SSL certificates.
Why am I not getting replies?
Because your question about the differences has been answered.
And you other question about free domains has been answered about 8 times now.
