Cant order new ssl certificate

I’m trying to host a new website with subdomain oneplatformx.42web.io, tried to order ssl certificate and got ““mx” is a system reserved name and cannot be used to host a website.” error message. I think my subdomain shouldn’t be an issue though? mx is just part of the whole subdomain, not really the same as oneplatformx

I just tried to request an SSL certificate for your subdomain and it seems to have worked fine. You can find it in the client area, and either delete it and try it yourself again, or just proceed with this order.

Where exactly in the process did you get this error? Did you see it while trying to create the certificate order or did you see it later in the process?

I’m getting it right here Login to your account - InfinityFree after clicking “create order” button. I still got the error trying to order ssl for staging.oneplatformx.42web.io

Hmm, that’s interesting, that seems to be a bug, I will look into that.

Fortunately, there is an easy workaround available.

Instead of going to the Free SSL Certificates menu and entering your domain there, you can also go to the domain page of your account to request the certificate.

To do so:

  1. Go to the Accounts page.
  2. Click the hosting account which has your domain name.
  3. Find your domain in the list and click Manage next to it.
  4. Click “Manage SSL Certificate” on the SSL Status card (or click SSL Certificates) in the sidebar menu.
  5. Click Add SSL Certificate, and select the option “Request Free SSL Certificate”.
