This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at sql100.byetcluster.com . This could mean your host’s database server is down.
Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.
i am pinging, through cmd on admin, both sql100.byetcluster.com [from the page] and sql100.epizy.com [from mysql page on the dashboard] and both are unreachable.
on my browser i can refresh and it gets a hit sometimes on the 3rd try, while some stuff just wont run.
I am getting this error constantly.
Support told me to optimize my code, but that didn’t solve it.
It is important to say that, my code has always worked well, suddenly the error “error connecting to the database” started. Not to mention that access to PHPMYADMIN does not enter most of the time.
I hope it’s maintenance. I really like the service
If you’re getting that error message, it means something is wrong. I don’t know what is wrong or why it’s wrong, which is why the article I linked to can help you figure that out.
We provide a knowledge base to help solve problems, not help someone blame you for the problems.
thanks, its just weird because it is not every time… it would happen once or twice or 3 times then it works for a number of times in a row. i will read that article. much appreciate it. i understand this is a business and i am not paying so i cannot expect to be a waste of time and resources. but this forum is awesome, i have never built a website before, and this place has answered every single question i have had, even when it is my fault. love this service, and if it was not for infinity free i would not have started this project ever. thanks again!
No, the byetcluster.com and epizy.com all point to the same IP addresses. So unless there is an issue with one of the domains, they work identically. And if there was a domain issue, you’d get a different error.
There have been more reports of issues with some database servers. I’ve seen sql100 and sql300 more often there, so I’m starting to suspect that your database is misbehaving in some way. I’m going to try to find out more about this.
