The client area is not the cpanel. The cpanel password is the hosting account password, not the client area password. You can login with the hosting account directly at https://cpanel.epizy.com too, which is where the ā€œcpanelā€ part comes from.

It’s not ā€œfalse informationā€. It can just be confusing if you don’t which system is the client area, control panel, cpanel, etc.

If you have any idea on how to make this simpler, I’d love to hear it.

Then it might be the account isn’t set up yet which is why FTP doesn’t work yet. Please wait for the account to be active and then try again.

Right I’ve finally figured out where im getting confused

When I go to https://app.infinityfree.net and login with my password then click on manage then click on control panel your system automatically logs me in without asking for a different password

This is what was confusing me because it didnt ask for a new password for cPanel I was thinking that it was the same password I just logged in with but your system logged me in with the other password automatically

So when I saw that info on cPanel about the ftp password I got confused

I do apologize for this misunderstanding and for saying that the cPanel information was false

Thanks again for the help

btw I’m still curious why malwarebytes thinks that ftpupload.net is a trojan

does anyone know why this is ?

It’s actually the FileZilla client you downloaded.

You probably got it from a fake site and now it had some viruses along with it.
I use same FTP as you do and MalwareBytes too and never have this warning.

Maybe ask Malwarebytes about that? Their system has a false positive, how would we know why they made that error?
