Connection to FTP server failed. Please try again later
I have a temporary redirect in place that I need to delete, but when I click the “delete” button, it thinks a little while and then displays the error message that the FTP server connection failed. I do not know what the FTP server has to do with it because I can log into my FTP with no issues. I just want to delete the URL redirect.
The FTP server itself is fine, however the client area is unable to connect to it. That’s why you get this error.
The Redirects feature works by simply connecting to your account using FTP and generating .htaccess rules to do the redirect. It doesn’t do anything special or interact with any hidden information, it’s just an easier to use alternative to writing .htaccess rules to do redirects yourself.
This also means that if you need to delete your redirects urgently, you can just do so by manually editing your .htaccess file and removing the redirect.
I have no htaccess file I am aware of. Please help me delete this redirect
