The FTP server is taking too long to respond that it doesn’t even load my website.
P. S. It is now back again. The issue had been resolved at the time of writing this reply. No more 502 Bad Gateway errors.
2nd Edit: FTP requests seems to take too long that they expire and cause Bad Gateway errors

So how to overcome it?
Hello and welcome to the community. Some sites and the ftp appear to be taking too long to load in the browser without throwing an error. Sometimes it resolves itself after some time. Not sure if related but current ftp connections fluctuate between 72-88% as of writing. If you are uploading critical files try to upload much later to avoid disruptions. In the meantime, we can patiently wait for the matter to resolve itself completely or wait for the official word from the admin.

I have never used this Cx File Explorer app, but this message is quite vague. Is there some way to get more information about why exactly it cannot connect?
Note that the FTP server is not necessary for your website to function.
However, it seems that there were some issues with the storage of some accounts. If the hosting volume is having issues, then both website access and FTP access won’t work correctly.
But it seems fine now.

I use the Cx File Explorer application to access FTP. I also sometimes use Filestash to access FTP on the web. Since I don’t have a laptop, I access FTP using my Android smartphone.
