Cannot access MySQL database after creation?

Do i need to ssh into the infinityfree instance and open port 3306?
Otherwise, i am stumped. After I used the control panel to create
a mysql database i cannot connect to it.

Welcome to the forum.

You cannot use external applications (like MySQL Workbench) to access MySQL on InfinityFree.

If you need to connect externally, you would need to upgrade to premium hosting.
