What I’m seeing is:
I just want to know if I can upload .scss files to infinityfree. I might do this, so I’d really like to know rather than it to fail.

You can upload .scss files here, but there is not much you can do with them. .scss files need to be compiled to regular .css files for browsers to be able to use them, and we don’t have a Sass compiler installed on our servers. So you’ll either need to compile the .scss files to .css before uploading them to your website, or find some PHP script to do this on the fly. Assetic comes to mind, but that project was abandoned a while ago.
