The day before yesterday, my website was working perfectly, and then suddenly stopped. I tested it on several PCs and phones, and the problem persisted.
I deleted the domain and created a new one (thinking I’d messed up the old one; to err is human). I moved my files to the new server domain.
I tested it again, and still nothing!
I changed the DNS settings (Google’s and Cloudflare’s), but still nothing!
I don’t use ad blockers.
I’ve cleared the cache (on both my PC and phone).
Then I tested it on my phone using 5G (I turned off Wi-Fi), and miraculously, it worked perfectly!
I also tried Proton VPN on both my phone and PC, and it works there too (simulating a different country). What do you think the problem is, please?
For information, the problem is only with InfinityFree, all others website work perfectly !
I live in France, and my ISP is SFR.
I don’t know what to do to get it working normally again, even though I haven’t changed anything at all!
Is it a change by the ISP on March 1st that’s blocking InfinityFree (with all its extensions: free.nf, infinityfreeapp, and others…)? Because I’ve tested it with various websites from people who had the same problem on the forum, and none of them work on my PC or phone, regardless of the InfinityFree website extension!
It could be. You’ll find other uses have had issues with their ISP blocking the free hosting domains, and I’ve been told that my InfinityFree sites are blocked for people using a particular ISP. Sometimes you can ask your ISP to lift the block, but if they refuse your only option is to use a VPN or another network when you check your site.
Okay, the problem is resolved on my ISP’s end, but now I’m getting a 403 error. I just posted my index.html and style.css files to test, and it seems the problem is on your side, InfinityFree!
How do I fix it please ?
I checked your site and it’s working fine from here. I cannot think of any reason why you’d see a 403 error. If we would be blocking your IP address, you’d see timeout errors like you saw before, not 403 errors.
