Can not upload larger files than 10MB - is this the maximum size of the files - even through FTP? This means that the site misleads users by saying that uploading larger files of 10MB should use FTP !!!

Have you checked the KB: https://infinityfree.net/support/what-is-the-fileupload-size-limit/?
It says clearly that:
No PHP configuration can override this limit and it applies to files uploaded through FTP or the file manager as well.
Where does it say that you should use FTP in order to upload files larger than 10MB?
If you found this on the site please inform us so that we can delete it.
In fact, I can upload large files with FileZilla, but then they are deleted - and a message appears in File Manager saying that the system can not work with files larger than 10MB

As I told you, this is a size limit and all files that are more than 10MB get automatically deleted.
There is no way to bypass it.
See this article: https://infinityfree.net/support/how-to-upload-big-files-archives/ in case you need more help.

Yes, there is a 10 MB file size limit on free hosting. It’s not possible to upload files larger than that in any way.

Where does it say that you can upload files larger than 10 MB with FTP? It’s true and has never been true, so if it says you can upload files larger than 10 MB, we should update that quickly.
