The T&C’s are quite clear on this:
A child under the age of 18 cannot have their own account.
But that said, if you, as a parent had an account, and your child then built a site, and you hosted it here for them, to help them learn… In my opinion that would be ok. But I’m not the owner so you’d have to wait on admin to be certain.
It’s a bit of a grey area.
On one hand, we do not have special measures in place to protect children using our services. On the other hand, we also don’t verify age at any point during our service.
The terms of service is quite strict on this, but that’s more of a legal safeguard than policy.
All in all, my recommendation is to use your common sense. If a parent or legal guardian is OK with the child using a hosting service and trusts that the child is mature enough to use it responsibly, I don’t see any issues.
