Built in cron job not working

(I installed my wordpress website through the Softaculous installer and disabled the wordpress default cron job to use the system built in cron job which runs twice an hour. Then on my wordpress website I scheduled some events on my website to run 8:00 AM, and other events to run according to the proper 30 minutes interval, that is either 1:00 or 1:30, 2:00 or 2:30, but I keep seeing the events being missed. Infact I don’t get regular updates from my website, and if I schedule an sms to send through the sms gateway on my phone the event is not run. but if I send the sms directly it reaches my phone. Please tell me what I can do to resolve this issue, or if it is the admins that need to do something then please do.)

Cron Job Feature is now disabled

As of today, the 9th August 2023, the Cron Jobs feature is disabled. In collaboration with iFastNet, we have determined that a large number of cron jobs were running a very frequently on invalid URLs, or sites that were not actively being used. This resulted in a lot of server power being spent on cron jobs that didn’t work, or were running on sites that were not actively being used. This had gotten so bad that some cron jobs dramatically overloaded some servers causing performance degradation …

Thanks a lot. At least I understand now than to spend countless hours trying to resolve cron job issues. I will look into the situation from my end see whether I can run the important jobs manually or upgrade. Once again thank you very much
