I am just trying to upload a site to my new domain via FTP, and the upload speed, well it would be quicker for me to knock on your front door and deliver them by hand to you, it is brtutally slow, almost to the point of not doing anything…
Far from ideal, just thought i’d let you guys know…

So… what exactly is slow about the uploads? Because last time I checked, the transfer speed was pretty good. It maxed out my (reasonably fast) upload speed. Of course, transferring thousands of files is not instant, but that’s not caused by the transfer speed. Because of the FTP negotiation overhead, transferring many small files takes quite a bit of time, but that’s normal.
