I’ve tried a number of images in my background but most squeeze the image on phone view and then stretch the image on tablet or pc view, is there an ideal size to use that suits phone, tablet & pc viewing.
Additionally is there an ideal setting.

For starters, how are you building your website? A CMS? Custom code? Site builder?
get familiar with the term responsive design that its what you are looking for, there is no ideal size that fits all but with code or cms like workpress takes care of the coding part if you get the right theme, hope it helps
