I think there is no such limit. But it depends on how much resources you utilize (for which free hosting is no the best.)

We don’t care about articles. We don’t host articles, so we can’t measure articles.
We host things like PHP code, databases, web requests and stored files. And we care about things like server load and storage space used, and have limits to safeguard that.
How you use those technical resources to create end user features (like articles) is entirely up to you. How much of those technical resources are use to produce, store and display these features depends entirely on your site and how it’s used.
So nobody can tell you how many articles you can create, because every website is unique.
Also, server load is much more important to us than storage space used. So having a number of articles is much less impactful than how often those articles are viewed and edited. But again: I cannot guarantee you a specific number of article views or edits you can do, for the exactly the same reasons I cannot make guarantees on the number of articles you have.
Just please keep in mind that this is free hosting and there are limits, so you can safely assume that you won’t be able to replicate one of the top-10 most popular websites in the world on it.
