Are you using the reseller server by mofh?

Hi, Admin.
Are you using the free server provided by MOFH? I think daily hits isn’t enough for this site if you’re using free server by MOFH but registering MOFH requires to point domain to their NS.
By the way, where did you bought your domain?
(I’m not sure if it’s polite to ask you about something in MOFH, Sorry)
Best wish.

Yes, InfinityFree is an MOFH reseller. The domain registrar can be easily found via a WHOIS lookup (I’m not 100% sure what domain you are referring to. Just google WHOIS lookup and enter the domain name you want information on).

What do you mean by this?

Yes, I think MOFH reseller server also have the same limitation, so it means that infinityfree is not using the free server by MOFH, right?

I mean the infinityfree.com, it’s whois protected

WHOIS protection only protect the personal information of the domain contacts. Other data (which is not PII) is still visible, including the domain registrar.

No, no. Our website gets WAY too much traffic for a free hosting account.

The customary way to do this is to have two domains: one for your company website and one for customers. The company website can be hosted basically anywhere, and doesn’t need to be configured anywhere on the reseller account. The “customer domain” is the domain that’s actually added to the reseller account, which can then be used for free subdomains, as well as the control panel, nameservers, etc.

So you bought another server, and point the company domain to it, right? :grinning:

Basically, yes.

Although neither the free hosting nor the InfinityFree core hosting is a single server.

I think you are using this, GitHub - InfinityFreeHosting/mofh-client: A WHM API client for MyOwnFreeHost in PHP. But how did you add functions like Protected Directories or Deactivation History on the InfinityFree Dashboard?

I understand your last reply, I 'll try to put my static file to CF and use the MOFH server as an api endpoint. :grinning: :grinning:

IF is using an advanced version of the open source project that adds in those features. Deactivation history is pretty easy as you can just log what the callback sends you and report the state (suspended, activated, etc) to the user.

Stuff like protected directories is a bit harder and requires one to programmatically solve the challenge of creating a protected directory via .htaccess in code.

So you actrually use FTP to do these stuffs, right?

also, do you have the document of vpanel api, the link provided by ifastnet throws 404

FTP would be the best way to do that, yes.

There is no official vpanel API from iFN. There is an unofficial one on GitHub though that is essentially a web scraper.

If you are talking about the MOFH API, you can find it in the footer of the MOFH website.

I’ve read the MOFH API but I still want to find the vp api. I’ll try to search on gh, thanks.

We’ve already told you there’s no vPanel API. Admin simply did some web scraping and reverse engineering to implement the vPanel features. GitHub might have those, yes, but as far as I know, Admin didn’t use GitHub on this one.

I see your opinion and I’m going to find the gh repo according to this.
Thank your for reminding me. :grinning:

Thank you

It’s original developed for our client area, so yes, we are using it.

The features that the MOFH API doesn’t offer are typically implemented either by writing files through FTP or web scraping the control panel itself. I’m not aware of any publicly accessible project that has this, but I never looked either. The InfinityFree implementation is completely custom built.
