Animated gif problem?

I have uploaded an anigif, but if I try to load it in my browser I will get a 404 error.

I have tried to upload it to another folder,with the same result. It is as if the .gif would not be there, while I checked 74 times and it is on the server indeed.

This is a normal .gif which loads just fine:

This is an animated .gif and it just won’t work. I tried to change the permissions, but nothing helps. Any ideas? The .gif is 73.2 kB and chmod 755 at the moment.
