Welcome to the forum. This is an English speaking forum, please translate future posts I’ve sorted this one for you.
In reference to the above, Admin is taking every possible step to resolve this as quickly as possible and will provide updates when possible.
If you wish to move your site to a new free subdomain, you can simply set up a new free sub domain, and then use this guide to move the files to the new domain:
note for admin ( redirecting to blog )
used redirect on my site it worked well for swpaste.infy.uk → blog
but for swpate.infy.uk/about.php → blogspot.comabout.php/ ( redirect here )
how can i redirect to blog in this situation , as my site generate links like domin.infy.uk/325vsdhg (random digits)
Please understand that you can only redirect URLs that you own and control. The problem is that the entire infy.uk domain is down, so there is no ability to setup anything on it, including redirects.
Having the redirects is useful for when the domain is restored. Until then, your infy.uk subdomain will show a DNS lookup error, and there is no way to change that.
Since it’s just the domain that has been affected,is it possible to get another domain and still link it to my web hosting so that it will still be the same website content but different domain?
I ask that if we can’t access our site, please provide us with a download tutorial so we can migrate the content of each file to a new, free server. Since you don’t offer any guarantee of a solution because you say it’s not up to you, well, okay, at least help with another solution!
The most painful thing is that I just started building a website and then I can’t access it anymore. I would like to ask all the experts: Is there any good way to restore it? (The last backup time is July 2025)
You still have full access to your files and databases, just download them like normal (And for the future, always have a backup, you never know when storage devices will fail)
so i chatted with the agent through live chat. the asked me to email the abuse team through [email protected]. how about many people go chat with them and email them about website retrieval and domain issues. that might help too. cuz we worked too hard as devs and people who paid for that domain as well with websites to let it all go to waste.
I doubt it. None of us is a customer of Nominet. In fact, not even Admin is. Admin likely has to contact the registrar first so they can get the message to Nominet (the registry).
It’s a free subdomain. Nobody here has paid to use their infy.uk subdomain. Even if you have premium hosting, you had to create the subdomain for free on InfintyFree before you migrated it to your premium account, so the subdomain itself costed nothing.
Nominet sent a message earlier today with next steps that could lead to the reactivation of the domain. There are some issues with that process though which I am trying to work out with them. But I am cautiously optimistic that we will be able to get the domain back.
However, given that it took two working days to get this reply, it looks like it might take a little while before everything is sorted out.
It’s not a one click process due to the fact that domain “extensions” are actually “bigger” than the rest parts. Changing the “extension” has the same effect as changing the entire domain.
We sincerely appreciate the update and the support extended in having the domain reinstated. Thank you for your continued assistance and efforts in keeping us informed
