Ajax request running in background every 5 seconds

I have been trying to make a test system that checks the messages in the chat room every 5 seconds using AJAX, will my account get suspended? http://the-best-web.totalh.net/ Or do I have to check it every 10minutes to not get my account suspended?

I wish to use AJAX post requests to fetch audio/video blobs from the user every N seconds. This site is only for personal testing purposes, so at most only one or two people will be using the site at at the same time. My question is, what is the maximum alowed value of N that I can use without getting banned? 0.5? 1.0? 5.0? Kindly clarify. Thanks in advance.

Note that this can qualify your site as a real live chat site rather than a forum and can result in suspension.
