I recently purchased a domain. I received this message from the company I got it from :
The ZA Central Registry has specific requirements when it comes to updating .co.za domains. Before you proceed with the update, your hosting provider must ensure that a) the new name servers contain a zone record for your domain and b) the names and number of name servers in the zone record matches the information that they have provided you with. Should either of these requirements not be met, the ZA Central Registry will bar any attempt to update the domain.
I contacted infinity support but got a message saying that they can only assist premium members. Can anyone assist here?
Well, the problem is that the ZA registry requires that the nameservers are already configured to resolve the domain name before you can point the domain name to it. Our nameservers on the other hand require the exact opposite: to be able to add the domain name to your account, you first need to change the nameservers (to proof you actually control the domain) before you can add the domain name. When the domain name is added to your account, the nameservers will be configured.
In short, the registry requires the nameservers to be configured for use, whereas our hosting system requires the nameservers to be in use before they can be configured.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any other way to complete the domain verification right now, so the nameservers must be set before you can add the domain to your account.
