Other Information

After installing woopayments the second step is to connect to wordpress.com. The error looks like jetpack on the remote system is attempting to do a handshake. I do not have jetpack installed on infinityfree and I’m aware that it cannot be used. Does this mean that woopayments cannot be used on the free tier or is there another issue in play here. I have tried deactivating, removing and reinstalling woopayments - no difference.

The request is most likely be blocked by this:

Yes I’m aware of that article I had already read it. Does that mean that Woopayments cannot be used on your service? Is there a log where I can see if thats the cause?

Most probably yes. Requests from a remote non-browser, server will be blocked. It’s not an issue specifically tied to Jetpack.

Even though most WordPress.com plugins (like Woopayments here) have a portion of Jetpack in it. This explains why a “Jetpack remote server” is trying to connect to your website.

Unfortunately no. Free hosting doesn’t do any type of logging at all.

Ok - what a shame. I was pretty happy with the hosting service but not being able to setup ecommerce for pre-launch testing is a show stopper. :frowning: Thanks anyway. I guess you get what you pay for.

I think that there’re other payment methods that works on free hosting but I can’t tell what exactly are those.
