For days now, I’ve been struggling to complete Wordpress integration on my InfinityFree website, https://reee.ct.ws
I first installed the free SSL Certificate, then I installed Wordpress afterward. Now, I have Wordpress successfully installed on my website, buh it’s been frustrating to get to the next step from there…
Each time I tried login into my Wordpress admin (https://reee.ct.ws/wp-admin), once I type my password, the next thing is an error message:
“The password you entered for the email address (example@gmailDotCom) is incorrect.”
Then I would click on “Lost your password,” to create a new password. Unfurtunately, after providing the email address so I can recieve relevant instructions in my inbox, there comes another error message:
“The email could not be sent. Your site may not be correctly configured to send emails”
Pls I really do need help here. What am I not doing right?
What’s the right password to use? And why could’nt I recieve an email instructions to resset my password as well?
What did I do wrong from genesis…?
Pls really need help to access my Wordpress admin so I can customize my website.
Is there any easier alternative too? Thank you, expecting feedbacks.
It sounds like your WordPress installation was successful, but you didn’t properly take note of your admin username and password. If you used Softaculous, then you have to enter your own admin username, and a random admin password will be generated (but you can edit it). The email address is also pre-filled. These are the details you can use to login.
We don’t provide email with our hosting, so sending the password reset emails does not work.
To regain access to the WordPress admin panel, you can do the following:
Login to Softaculous, go to the All Installations list, and click the button that @KangJL circled. That should log you in to the admin panel. From there, you should be able to check the username and email address, and set a new password.
If the above doesn’t work for some reason, there are other methods to reset your admin password. WordPress has them all documented, but I recommend the phpMyAdmin method: Reset your password – Documentation – WordPress.org
