AbanteCart installer script cannot conenct o mysql credentials

“Cannot connect to my SQL, please check credentials”

I am using the credentials as provided in the control panel for the MySQL DB, including the hostname, PW, user etc but no matter what I do the script won’t pick it up. The installer should trigger when visiting the page, as i’ve uploaded it via FTP. Is that sort of connection not allowed? or what is the issue here.

There is a database issue at the moment. Abante-Cart should work after the issue is fixed. A timeline is not known for this issue. Please read other topics before posting.
