I am getting that error from filezilla when i want to connect ftp server.
username:rfgd_20345678
I also having this problem. Reseting pass do nothing. I am logged in in my panel and check my username and password couple times.
I was using SmartFTP, now CoreFTP
Username: rfgd_20333430
Edit: I can connect to ftp server and it passes username but for some reason server doesn’t accepts password. Password is correct, i was checking it more than enough ( maybe 10+ times).

@BlackDiamondPL I was able to FTP to your account without any problems. Make sure you’re using the hosting account password, not the client area password.
I just used account password, same error. I changed it so i need to wait, maybe. Tommorow i will check if this worked. Meanwhile i think i need to use file menager from account site

What’s the difference between “hosting account” verses “client area” passwords? I thought there was only ONE password for both? If there are two account passwords, then >exactly< WHERE are the passwords changing located? I only know of is going to: 1. cpanel profile, then 2. stroll down to “change password.” Is there another password location I need to know about?

Yes. Your client area account has a password, and every hosting account you have has it’s own password. The instructions you gave are about changing the client area password.
To view or change the hosting account password, go to Accounts → find your account in the list → click Manage → click the Password tab. There you can view or change your hosting account password.
