Filezilla – 421 Home directory not available - aborting

(please share the FULL error message you see, if applicable)

Created this site a week or so ago. Been able to upload using Filezilla OK
Today, every time i try to connect, Filezilla gives the above message.
Have not changed any settings, or password etc.

Plz help

Well everything appears to be working fine today as regards FTP but I noticed that all the files in a sub-folder had been duplicated in the root folder. I’ve deleted them and re-uploaded the sub-folder just to be sure.

Just wondering if this 421 FTP error is a regular occurance. I’ve had no message from Admin so maybe it just fixed itself.

Your account’s home directory seems to be fine now. Whatever happened to it, it seems to be fixed now.

It isn’t. This error only happens when there is a problem with the server storage. It can be caused by the server storage being migrated, or because of a systems issue. We see issues like these pop up maybe once or twice per year, and usually only for a single hosting volume.
