404 on some htm pages but not all

So this is very strange. My site is HTML. I’m using .htm pages. Everything works locally. All links go the the rights places. But some of my pages show up as 404s after uploading to the server, and others don’t.

After playing around a bit, I noticed that using the www. in front of the url makes the pages show up and not 404. But all of my links are relative in my code, so none of my links have a url in them, and again some are working right and some 404. I’ve never encountered this before.

Is there a way, somewhere in my control panel, to get my website to use the www. instead of just the domain name without it?

you need to post some details like links to your website and which pages are having issues

without this information we cannot investigate

Scapefilms.com/about.htm is one example

Scapefilms.com/films.htm is another.
I’ve already cleared my cache and even trip loaded the pages. Again they work with the www. So I’m asking if there is a way to include that. In the control panel.

  1. Make sure your document root is correct

  2. Share a screenshot of the file manager / FTP where you have the files.

A post was split to a new topic: I Hijacked someone else’s post :: Need help with 404 error

The document root is the htdocs folder. It’s in the same directory as the other pages.

they both work for me without the www

Thank you. It must be Chrome for me. Even though I’ve cleared my cache. I should have checked in another browser. Where it is working for me as well.
