All the files are loaded, flushed the cache

Also , has editing been disabled,in the file manager ?
the file can also be downloaded, so it is there
very strange…

Seems to be a problem on your end, because for me editing is working and I haven’t seen any other tops about this issue.
The file editor and overall the whole filemanager given by infinityfree is not good, If you want to edit something, just download and edit… You should be able to edit though, must be a broken file or something, try editing it with a third party software.
I tried to open the file as well and the file seems to crash MonstaFTP.
I downloaded the file and looked at it again. It opened, but my editor was unhappy because some of the characters in the file could not be parsed.
So I would guess the invalid characters in the file crash the editor.
It’s not great that it works this way, but it’s understandable.
So my guess was correct!!
I wonder why there were special characters tho, how did it get there?
Thanx Guyz
iv reverted the website back to the original 25-pages.
removing the basic SPLASH-enter page, totaled 26-pages.
so maby 25 pages is the MAX amount, that Infinity , will allow.
Tell us if you need help!
I don’t think so. Admins editor also did not like the file, so it is most likely something is the file, or the way it is configured. Perhaps the part you removed contained the stuff that the editor did not like. Also, FileZilla is a better FTP alternative to the online Monsta file manager.
Thanks!
thankyou casmat
its still the same file…

It seems to be working now. Note that your file extension should be .html not .htm as .htm is outdated.
Thanks!
All my web files are html.
I mean the file should be called xxx.html not xxx.htm
im not changing html …to htm
its infinity thats making that change
the reason the website is ok now
is becuase iv reduced the total pages to 25
No, its not InfinityFree. Open your file manager, you will see it’s called .htm
Open the file on your own machine, it’s called .htm
It is recommended (But not necessary) that you change it to .html
I don’t think that’s the reason. There are no limits on the number of pages you can have (But the total number of files allowed is 30,000, however, I don’t think this is the case for your error).
i dont know sorry…some say theres no difference.
all i know is , that when i added a “SPLASH enter-site” page
infinity couldnt process the NEXT page of the site.
The custom website-software, allows you to preview the finished website
before you upload all the files to a server
and theres no problem with the preview.
i created the new splash page, without any images
in order to speed up the initial START-UP , speed
to 0-1 ms…but it cant be done here.
Yup, htm and html whatsoever would not impact any editor or program out there. Admin also stated that it was special characters that was making problems.
Your welcome!!!
Thanx casmet
what are “special characters” ?
do you mean this kind of style ?
™©
if the editor recognizes UTF-8 CODE, then why would it be a problem to scan ?
Iv Capped the site to 25 pages, and its now ok
but still far to slow to load.
I checked the file in my editor and this is how it prints for me:
In the web page, it renders like NET1 BROADCAST DESIGN
.
So I kinda doubt that the TM and C sign there are UTF-8.
Also, setting the HTML charset to UTF-8 doesn’t automatically means the characters in the file are UTF-8. And Windows Notepad has the tendency to use weird Windows character sets.
Hi
I dont know what editor your using to view the htm code
but ALL big companys will use | ™© | © | ® | etc
they dont have a problem with it.
iv noticed that infinity, will not, refer back to the INDEX page
once its moved from the index page to another page,
you cant go back, without it displaying the 404 error.
so what iv had to do, is
create a 2nd index page and rename to “REFER”
My index page is “Broadcast1”
when i enter page 2, and click the HOME button on page 2
it will NOT return to the index page " Broadcast1"
but instead go to 404 error page
So iv had to create 2nd index page called “Broadcast1REFER”
this way theres no problem
iv never had to do this with other hosting companys
strange…
