404 error in my pages

Website URL

www.pastoes.com

Error Message

I get continuous 404 errors when displaying my page. I translated addresses to match pastoes.free.nf (which is my other site) and in this place page works OK. What could be the cause?

Other Information

I was having issues with infinityfree since yesterday (no captchas) and I recently changed nameservers for domain, it could be a problem with DNS propagation?

A 404 like this usually means that the folder of the website (probably pastoes.com/htdocs) is missing.

I don’t know what you mean by “translate the address to match pastoes.free.nf”. If you wish that the two websites should display the same content, you should add the domain as a parked domain/alias.
Deleting the folder for another website is not the way to go and the server won’t magically bind the two domains together for you.

I’ll explain myself better. I uploaded an offline (localhost) version of a wordpress site I’m trying to build for demonstration purposes, and when you export database (phpMyAdmin) the exported file points to localhost. Then if you want it to work for pastoesdotcom, you need to change in all sql sentences the reference from localhost to https://pastoes.com. Then, if you want it to be in pastoes.free.nf, you need to change all references from pastoes.com to pastoes.free.nf in the database. It’s a little bit tricky, but achievable,

The problem arises when uploading pages to pastoes-dot-com, and not when uploading to pastoes.free.nf: page loads sometimes, and sometimes it gives error 404. I’ve been unable to determine the time when that website will work. Sometimes simply responds, and the other 404 error.

this is the reason I’m looking for support. I don’t have a fully working version of my website in pastoes-com.

Now that you’ve explained yourself better, if you only recently added or modified the domain then it can pretty much be DNS propogation. Otherwise it is probably some server bug. In that case Admin may have more insight but you’ll have to wait for him.

I just checked your website and it seems to be working fine now. Which is weird, because I was looking into it before and then I saw the same error.

If I had to guess, I’d say that something weird happened while adding your domain causing our server to not load it correctly.

But whatever it was, it seems to be resolved now. Is the 404 page gone for you too?
