URGENT: Site completely blocked with 403 Forbidden

Problem:

• Site returns “403 Forbidden” on ALL URLs (HTTPS and HTTP)
• Was working earlier today
• Only made .htaccess and wp-config.php changes

Actions taken:

1. Restored original .htaccess
2. Restored original wp-config.php
3. Still 403 Forbidden

Possible causes from my side:

1. Too many Googlebot requests trying to fix indexing
2. .htaccess modifications for HTTPS redirection

Request:

1. Unblock my site immediately
2. Check if account was suspended
3. If suspended, please unsuspend and explain reason
4. If not suspended, check server configuration

This is urgent - my business is completely down.

Seems to be working now. Have you tried clearing your cache and trying again.

Does your site have a spam blocker plugin you’ve installed? Because that might have caused a redirection to a 403 page.

When an account is suspended, you get an email about it, and you get a notification in the client area that its been suspended. Additionally, it redirects to suspended-domain.net (I think thats the right one?) not to a 403 page.

Things that can cause a 403 redirect are incorrect htaccess rules, or banned words in the URL such as “Chat”
