I have added a 301 redirect in the Domain and Website Options, and when I do go on the link, it does redirect to the url.
However, when I go check it in any redirect checker, such as wheregoes.com, it doesn’t indicate it as a 301 redirect. It just shows the original url with an Ok 200.
I tested this with my own website which has a redirect, and I also got a 200. It’s not just limited to your case, so it’s most likely this:
I bet the service (wheregoes) doesn’t present itself to your website as an actual browser, so it gets blocked.
If you get a 301 redirect when visiting your website yourself then I think you’re good to go. No need to verify it with a redirect tester
