It’s not a GPU, it’s not even Nvidia, it’s a hacked driver to remove all the limitations Nvidia puts on your GPU like the clock speed and temperature

The quality of the ads from AdSense has been… not great recently. Most of the ads I see look like scams too, either sketchy clickbait content or outright “get rich quick” schemes. In addition to the big green “Activate Now” buttons with nearly invisible text to suggest it’s not actually part of the site.

The surveys do generate revenue which does help support InfinityFree, but I don’t know if answering any questions actually makes a difference for it.

An endless cycle of experienced users being used to it, and newbies being told it’s the best and they should learn it.

I’m also struggling with organizing features in a user friendly way. But cPanel’s interface is more like “f* it, here are all the functions, just figure out what you need”.

uhhhh….by chance, how rare it is to mistype a single number in the ip address and accidentally connect to other people’s pc? :skull: (and why tf people always use shitty password like 1234???)

feel like what i need, no need to click this click that to find stuff to config and edit

It is the best because it is an all in one solution, one panel and all features, most hosting provider already have a lot of great plugins built in so for beginner this is an easy way to get started with website before moving to something more complicated

Not rare here in China because most of the turtorial you can find usually involves:

  • We’ll set the password to 123456 here
  • Disable the firewall so the port we need is open
  • Turn off these options so your antivirus won’t tamper with the setup process

People loves disabling firewalls, antivirus, and using stupid passwords, you just cannot stop them

Not my dad setting all his new passwords (or at least trying to set them if he’s creating new accounts) to his birth date, which is as unsafe as that because it’s still a number sequence

Anyway today is my birthday, if some of the newer ones here don’t know!

That’s the thing: it’s not an all-in-one solution.

Most hosting providers here in the Netherlands don’t use cPanel, they use a custom panel. They then have a single management interface for everything, both billing and account administration. cPanel is only a control panel for a single hosting account, it doesn’t do billing, multiple accounts, domain registrations, VPS or whatever else you may want to offer.

They also generally have a simpler approach to accounts, with one account = one website. As opposed to cPanel multi domain management where every custom domain must also be a subdomain, and the primary domain has a special status so you cannot configure most things on it. “Oh, you don’t remember which one of your 20 domains is hosted on which of these 5 accounts? Good luck logging in to all of them one by one to try and find them!”.

If it were an all in one solution, you wouldn’t need something like WHMCS or Blesta or a custom panel to handle billing and provisioning. And it’s much more user friendly to not have those different interfaces and panels for different products.

In my opinion, cPanel is an absolutely terrible product for users and administrators alike. It’s both unnecessarily complicated but also weirdly restrictive. The only reason why someone might legitimately like it is because they have used it long enough to either develop muscle memory or Stockholm syndrome to deal with it’s backwards interface and systems, and don’t remember what it was like starting out where they didn’t intuitively know what settings to look for.

Well some hosting provider will have WHMCS plugin build in with the cpanel and it actually have all of other stuff that you’ve mentioned, but most of the hosting provider really dont give a fk on it and just give user a raw cpanel server with some plugin like softaculous and thats it a very horrible experience in my opinion, in vietnam the cpanel server that most hosting provider give is well polished with plugin like those china portfolio website, they have all kind of plugin that user need, maybe in your country the hosting provider only do one job is to make the server alive and dont care about user.

maybe sometimes cpanel is very crap but for me it is very easy to use, for most of the users they only need file manager, domain manager, database manager and thats it, they dont care about other thing like immunity360 or seo tool or web builder or litespeed cache and stuff, they just want their website to work and thats it so in my opinion cpanel is a great choice for beginner
