That idiot can’t think ![]()
Since Zoho doesn’t want to complete KYC for my account I opted for yet another mail service in China, works surprisingly well, 10/10 in mail tester
Looks like it’s just my former service sucks
(In case you don’t know their performance I sometimes get scores as low as 2.4/10)
Now I really wanted to share the URL with my friends but I’m a bit scared right now ![]()

Maybe, just maybe, the forum hates anything above a megabyte. The upscaled version of a picture i want to use is 1.2MB in size ![]()

So evernight is becoming darker and darker ![]()
This is honestly weird because sometimes I can upload just fine
Like this 2.8 MB screenshot I just grabbed from one of my article ![]()
I just checked and seems that the final image on the server is much smaller, looks like the forum limits the size of processed image, not the original, so I think if your image is very shiny (anime being the biggest red flag) it might fail

This leads me to notice another change which I didn’t realize until now, if you look at the Regular description you’ll no longer see the “private lounge” thing in it!
I know it’s actually the internal identifier, but this genuinely feels as if it’s not fully translated
Spent sometime fiddling with the Discourse staff system
Basically Admin > Moderators > Leaders > Category Moderators. The last one is actually difficult to setup ![]()
Category moderators do get the shield icon, just only in their respective categories, even if they normally gets less perms than TL4 ![]()

Interesting. Could you give a category mod TL4 over the rest of the forum? Curious to know if they get the full mod interface or not.

Category mod have their perms largely decided on the TL. They do not interfere with each other.
Category mod is like TL4 for a specific category with a little difference (Like can delete a topic but cannot globally pin a topic). They do not get MCP nor ACP, so whatever the “full mod interface” you mean they cannot access it.
It’s entirely possible to give a category mod TL4, although if you do that it will appear as if TL4 completely overrides category mod ![]()

I just realized that my website’s server is also eligible for the 2 Cores 4 GB to 4 Cores 4 GB free upgrade ![]()
I missed it this long, incredible

I envy you. Better get that RAM upgraded as well ![]()

That’ll cost me more than US$200 ![]()
Both for the fact that I can only upgrade to the more expensive 4 Cores 8 GB plan and that I have plenty of time remaining on my server which means that I have to pay for a longer period
Bruh
Windows using less than 0.5 GB of RAM
Guess what Windows is this ![]()

The special event is breaking the file manager even more!
Dude this is a 2023 topic ![]()
The file manager broke only recently

Ah, didn’t see the activity heading, thought it was posted like 1 hour ago, but yea; lets lock in on the file manager. If y’all need help from a person who actually has time, let me know
The file manager is generally a low priority because the recommended method is FTP…

It shouldn’t be low priority if it’s broken for everyone. I can’t name 1 more thing on infinity that’s been broken for such a long time, and for so many people. If it’s the biggest thing that’s broken rn, it shouldn’t be low priority
While you’re not wrong about it being broken for everyone, there are a few things you’re missing.
1 - it’s IFastNet who are fixing it, not infinity free.
2 - there’s an alternative (filestash) available https://filestash.infinityfree.com
3 - the file manager was only ever meant to be a backup option to using an FTP client like FileZilla anyway

Huh. I didn’t know that. But why?
(I’m switching my domain to CloudFlare and cutting off an existing one.)

I finally fixed my UbuntuBook charger!
But now, I found a “hot spot” (short, I think) that I have to cut out and repair in the cord.
Turns out, I didn’t know that if you park a domain onto the htdocs of your site, and you 302 your subdomain (same htdocs) to the parked domain, they infinitely 302. (same with 301). This is probably in the docs, but I either didn’t know or forgot about it.

Probably some bad implementation that only puts a .htaccess into the corresponding htdocs, under the assumption that each website gets a different folder, which then means the redirection rule doesn’t check the actual domain, and ends up giving an indefinite redirection.
You may want to setup the redirect manually instead.
Why is file manager working fine for me…
Tested images, php, javascript, css, html, all worked just fine…
