Also, there are about 5 ways to format code, that I have figured out so far: `, ``` code blocks, <pre>, <code>, and 𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚌𝚘𝚍𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚗𝚝.

Also that way

Lookup the markdown language, that’s what discourse uses

Unicode font is just a different display, it’s not a way to format code.

My service provider just offered me with a free CPU upgrade

Not the best offer ever, but moving from Xeon Gold to Xeon Platinum is still good :+1:

Can someone explain to me:

Why is the Forum saying I have 2 new topics to view, but yet there are 3 to see?

Maybe the 5min one is too new? Refresh the page and see if that does anything

I answered to the 35min new one, and it’s still showing an incorrect count.

Could it be the second one? (one on the bottom) That one has been around for a bit, but I still haven’t seen it.

Edit: As soon as I said this, suddenly the counter is now correct. Technology is odd sometimes.

I guess that may relate to this topic of yours:

Random Question: Are there any Free SSL Certificate Creators that make SSLs that are shorter than 90 Days? I know that 90 day certificates are optimal, but there might be times where I want an even shorter SSL certificate.

Just asking, why do you need certificates shorter than 90 days in the first place? 90 days is perfect for a balance between security and less hassle. There are some providers that offer certificates shorter than 90 days. for example, Let’s Encrypt recently introduced a 6-day SSL certificate but I believe they won’t work here. There may not be any other free CAs that offer less than 90-day validity and work on InfinityFree (correct me if I’m wrong)

I’ve seen some 30 day ones arround, but they all seem to be a “trial” of paid ones (and you can only use the trial once)

I’m intregued what the benefit of less than 90 days is. Honestly, I prefered the 1 year ones, but I can see why 90 days became the standard

You could create a self-signed for a shorter length. If your looking for something that will work on free hosting and is free, my guess is there is not much out there (but I also don’t pay a lot of attention to certificate issuers)

Security. If a shorter certificate is leaked that means less time it can be exploited.

There are various reasons. One of them is, well,

This would benefit greatly for things like JriMail.

But another: Domain Life (that’s what I call it, but you can call it something else.)

I set up a domain I didn’t plan on keeping for a while. I set up an SSL for the domain. I didn’t want to keep my domain for longer than 2 weeks. I know I can release the domain without waiting for the SSL to expire, but I would prefer the SSL expire before I remove the domain.

Annoyed that they won’t work here, but it’s good to know! I don’t think Admin will be implementing 6-Day SSL because 90-Day is more convenient. But to throw up a short-lived domain, you wouldn’t need a long certificate for that.

Thats actually really intresting  thanks for sharing.

I’ll ask some of my friends who are web masters if they’ve heard of any free SSL certificates that are shorter lived. If any come up i’ll let you know

Ah - I didn’t get that yesterday: Trump can’t be the Pope, but can be the Poop. I hope we get a chance to vote for that.
