I’m actually wondering whether Admin run this forum on a seperate server or on the same server as the client area after fiddling with Discourse for a day. Seems that Discourse doesn’t play very well with reverse proxies.

I used to host it on a separate server until very recently, now I run it on the same cluster of servers the client area runs on.
It was quite a hassle to get it on there because Discourse really is intended to be hosted on a separate server, but I managed to make it work. But I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are really picky about how it is run.
You can host Discourse behind a reverse proxy, these are the original docs:
If you don’t want to (or can’t) go the socketed route, you can also proxy it to the exposed ports, but you will need to setup custom realip configuration. You can use the Cloudflare configuration as an example for that. But socketed is easier, if it’s possible.

I think the new name fits better than “Staff Notice.” I have never used it, but I think it’s a cool feature. I read the post’s first few words and thought they had removed it for TL4. I went to check and didn’t see “Staff Notice” so I got sad that they might’ve removed it. (I’m stupid)

Researching about that purple banner and yellow highlighting, it looks like it isn’t available for my account.

Banners “Staff Notices” are for TL4 (Leader) and above.
Yellow highlighting “Staff Color” is for moderator and above.
Users with TL3 and below, can someone screenshot how the purple banner looks for you? I’m curious if the author is credited in your view, the chnagelog said something about it but I forgot and am too lazy to look it up

The credit is only visible to Moderators, I believe.
Also, I didn’t know highlights were “Staff Colors”. I just thought you could highlight a post. Hmm.

russia installed him, no wonder he always admired putin, kim yong and other dictators and that’s exactly what he wants to introduce in america.
If people in the us don’t do something urgently they are literally screwed !

I knew Trump was disgusting, but that’s a new low, him calling Zelensky a dictator while he sucks up to Putin, the murderer of Russia’s legitimate leader, Navalny. Trump needs to be arrested and locked up.
