Can I tell you that thereā€™s no such thing as free domains? 20230630150449-arf-23433 thatā€™s my request ID for flowerpony.eu.org, and as you guess by the date, it never approved. Wtf man.

thatā€™s strange

I have 8 domains registered at eu.org and all working fine

when you register the site does a check on the name servers you specified, did you check the page it displays after you submitted for any error messages about the name servers ?

seeing as you have a request id im guessing it passed ?

I just tried registering flowerpony.eu.org to see what would happen

IGNORED: we already have pending request(s) for that domain.

well it seems to still be pending, maybe sometimes its just really slow and may still proceed eventually ?

actually I just checked my emails for nic.eu.org and found a message from someone I was talking with about it and he had registered a domain with them and in his case it took 1 year :scream:

so donā€™t give up , hopefully youā€™ll be receiving that email soon :+1:

Yeah, it sometimes might take even a year or even a few months after that for the domain to be thereā€¦

why canā€™t apple get anything right ?

phone browser rendering issues

phone lcd goes black for unknown reason and can only be fixed by a forced reset

macbooks plug in the charger while on the login screen and it wont show that its charging until you login ?

macbook motherboards have a voltage regulator that drops the 16V line down to a low voltage for the SSD chips, it goes short circuit for no reason at all feeding the full 16V into the SSD destroying the chips, all data lost and the motherboard is now screwed

I have more issues with apple (esp. hardware related) but I didnā€™t want to rant on

What issues exactly? Iā€™m not sure what rendering issues you are talking about.

That has never happened to me.

I havenā€™t had a MacBook so I wouldnā€™t know.

I wonā€™t use them either, I do repair a lot of them for customers and some of the stupid things I see when checking the schematic diagram makes my blood boil

I do have an iMac desktop on my work bench but the first thing I did after switching it on is boot linux mint and wipe that apple junk off of it :stuck_out_tongue:

seems a lot nicer with mint

@YT_Xaos

I have customers come in all the time that cant access forms on websites because safari is rendering the text as a scrambled mess

I know its probably an issue with the website itself but other browsers seem to work fine so who knows ?

I have had many customers with the latest iPhones from 12 onwards seem to have this issue where the screen goes black but the phone is still on, calls/text are still received etc

I force a restart by volume up, volume down then keep holding power until the apple logo appears. fixes the issue until next time :stuck_out_tongue:

Thatā€™s odd. I feel like the rendering issue might have happened to me a couple of times but I cannot remember. However, my screen hasnā€™t gone black out of nowhere and I have an iPhone 11.

ive seen it happen on iphone 12 and above, havent seen the black screen on 11

I installed windows on a customers laptop and the activation message annoyed me so I took a screenshot and corrected the message **

I am curious, have there been thoughts about whitelisting those specific connections? They would be useful in allowing WordPress and other software to communicate with their own APIs and solve many of the issues that are usually reported, but Iā€™m not sure if there are any security concerns or if it would be a resource-exhaustive task that would not be easy to implement for the free hosting platform.

Thinking about it, it might be possible since CloudFlare IPs is whitelisted in security system, ifastnet should be able to whitelist their own IPs

Welcome back! Itā€™s OK if you couldnā€™t come to the forum for any reason, even for vacations.

Thank you! Happy holidays to you too!
