Who is she? If it was two years ago, then we likely don’t know each other, although if it’s more than that, we may’ve had interacted sometime in the past. I checked all the accounts you shared Oxy, and the oldest I could find is 2020, so I guess it’s unlikely we’ve interacted.

That being said, why was ChippyTech’s post flagged? I can understand how it can come off wrongly, but I don’t think it was malicious or broke any guidelines (I interpreted it as a joke, idk). Oh well.

but it is also possible that she shared the pass with someone else (older brothers, sisters, school friends), hence the strange range from pony to Linux (depending on which person answers) and in the end one of them changed the pass and the “original” cannot access …but when it’s an excuse 2,3 times, then I have to wonder what’s really going on.

Sorry Oxy, but I don’t like your non-linear line.

I consolidated our data into years, and stuck it on another graph. Before I show the graph, I want to adjust it for the last remaining month of this year.

Over the past two full calendar years (2019-2020), an average of 23 issues was reported each year. 12 months in a year is 23/12, or 1.9166666666666666666... issues a month. Since you can’t have a partial issue, I rounded, adding in 2 issues for December 2022.

Now here is the graph:

Pulling a linear best-fit (I could use a polynomial, but that’s not the best idea for unpredictable data), I get f(x)=3.74x-7542 and an R2 of 0.576

So for next year, 2023, we expect ____ system issues.

So f(2023)=3.74(2023)-7542
f(2023)=24.02
f(2023) ~= 24

So we can expect 24 issues next year.

I did them on a stupid computer, so I just used Google Sheets.

it is difficult to make a model that will predict
because the data entered into it are not real data but the number of topics.

And the number of those topics, especially in the past, depended on whether the admin wanted to create them or not and whether we had any information at all about the cause.
Of course, it depends on the number of users and their posts…
Sometimes the problem can be super small, but 5 users make posts in a short time and we have the feeling that something big is happening -so a pinned topic is created.

before 2022, these topics were mostly created when something lasted longer than 2 days,
so that the users have some information about what is happening and not to flood the forum.


Actually in the places between those big spikes, there were quite a few smaller ones,
in fact, those little ones are the most important - because when they appear, then the big one follows.

The small ones show that something is wrong, and then ifastnet decides to correct it on the servers, and that then causes these big (spikes) because for some actions it is necessary that everything be “offline”.
A critical mass is gathered that results in an action.

The greater the number of users, the greater the number of posts on the forum
and that then causes more chances that something will be pinned (even Freenom problems).


I used a quantum computer in my chart

which predicts better,
and I added the human factor to the equations
such as human behavior, tendency to behave in patterns, social trends, climate, seasons, number of adopted cats, etc.

And I combined/overlapped those results with my intuition - and the match is 97.152423%

Later I contacted an independent institute that also conducted their research and confirmed my results with a deviation of 0.2%


And I jumped into space to ask HAL

OH, it’s from the IF system. Ok, that makes much more sense now!

What equation did you use to calculate the linear fit? Shouldn’t you use Pearson’s R, though?

I mean, my stats class I took is making me rage at your predictions, but let’s see how wrong right you are.

The computer does it for me, but it just takes the averages over the defined range and spits out a line that moves though that.

I don’t fully understand how it works, all I need to know is what it represents :slight_smile:

I know that the uplift (white noise) needs work, as well as the side lead (a little off tune, IMO and just doesn’t sound quite right), and also, it’s a bit bland… but it’s a good start if I do say so myself.

As for sidechain compression, I should watch a video on how to do that in LMMS. I’m not familiar with the controls for the filter.

Speaking of music, I’ve gotten into Geoxor now!

I’ve kind of passed him by, similar to snail house (whom I’ll probably get obsessed with later), but finally I dove in and I’m starting to like him (it originally struck me as too slow and not fast-paced, but I’m beginning to settle down and enjoy it more).

Don’t even bother with it
first make a skeleton for songs (story)
after that you go with decorations (like a Christmas tree)
after you finish the song, you listen to it for hours from beginning to end
and you correct if it doesn’t mentally lead to where your brain expects
(you shorten something, extend a section, silence something, amplify something, etc.)

What does it mean mentally it doesn’t lead where you expect?
when you make a song, you hear it hundreds of times
but it’s not the same as listening to a song from the beginning (after a long pause in your head)…because from the beginning, the beginning must have a hook (attract the listener to stay) then follow some expected development of events.The human brain is taught that many things must be in a certain pattern of behavior

That means you can’t have a 4/4 beat and then half way jump to 3/4 or finish something half a second earlier…the brain then feels uncomfortable…(psychology)…
That’s why all the notes need to be aligned on the grid, not to go out of tempo…
also repeat something 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 times and not odd numbers, and hundreds of other things.

When everything is finished, then you go to the final listening session for hours
and there, if some tones drown each other or it sounds bad in some places, then you correct (mastering), using sidechain, EQ, filters and other things.

Don’t worry about it in the beginning because it will kill your inspiration (flow)…
The problem with working on a computer is that you have a million choices at every moment…you turn one potentiometer/knob and it takes you in a totally new direction…
And then suddenly you ask “what if I turn this one too?”
and then you experiment for hours and hours and from that initial idea you end up who knows where… (you often get lost along the way).

That’s the paradox of choice.

Yeah, I’ll do the sidechain later on, but really I feel that I’m going to edit the side lead.

Mathcore is a thing, lol. But yes, it sounds mildly unpleasant, although I’m trying to train my brain to like it

Ok, I found this music artist and a lot of their stuff is just comedy gold. I also love the bottom one because it is such a stereotypical representation of a STEM nerd and yet still manages to put an adorable twist to it.
