Update failed: 502 Bad Gateway 502 Bad Gateway nginx

I would also like to find out if going premium will stop these errors. Eventually I want to transfer this website to a current domain I have www.bullseyecapital.co.za. Is this possible?

A 502 Bad Gateway error is often caused by the request timing out. If the update process takes too long (more than 60 seconds I think), the server gives up and shows this error.

Premium hosting has faster servers and higher limits on usage of it. So while I cannot guarantee you that your site will work well with iFastNet’s premium hosting (or with any other hosting for that matter), you’ll be a lot less likely to run into this issue.

Absolutely!

The process works like this:

  1. Add the domain to your account: How to add your own domain to your account
    • You’ll want to make it an alias of your existing free subdomain.
  2. Update the website URL in the WordPress settings to your new domain name: Changing The Site URL – Documentation – WordPress.org
