Why are the cron jobs really weird here

Ive seen it said over and over that the cron jobs are really weird here
I just wondered why this is

If you throw me a zip file of the server source code I dont mind taking a look

We all know thatโ€™s not going to happen :smirk:

Free hosting really changes a lot of rules, but it might also be how the server is set up and how Ifastnet alllows Infinityfree to configure the servers.

The cron job feature feels like it was put together quite hastily. It can get the job done, but the time selector is confusing and the lack of feedback regarding when it ran, when it didnโ€™t ran, or when the timeout was exceeded and the job was deleted, make it hard to rely on.

iFastNet considers it good enough. It doesnโ€™t get used that much, so there is not much motivation to improve it.
