Website shows old version, caching / upload error

Hey,
today I made some changes on my homepage, but after working a while (and uploading files) it stopped working to show me my updated files. I have a pure PHP webpage, but when I update he file via FIleZilla, it show “upload complete”, and i see the “last changed” date being updated.

I cleared my browser cache (in the beginning with strg+F5, then i deleted all browser data in the browser-settings). I tried to use my other pc, my mobile phone and an incognito-tab, always seeing the old version.

When I redownload the file from the webserver and open it, I see the correct code, but no matter what I do, the webpage keeps showing me the old version…

UPDATE: If I upload and open it with a different name, it strangely works. But thats not an option, can’t change all the redirections and buttons.

Can you please share on which website you experience this issue?

I see quite a few similar reports, but I have not been able to reproduce the issue yet, and to do that, it helps to be able to check it on an affected websites.

Besides that, your topic is very detailed, which is good. But it’s very hard to fix an issue I cannot see for myself.
