Website not working on Wi-Fi but working on mobile data

Hello team,

My website (http://soumalya.ct.ws/) is facing a strange issue. It works perfectly when accessed through mobile data, but it doesn’t load on Wi-Fi networks. However, when I use a VPN, it loads fine on Wi-Fi as well.

Can you please check if:

  • My website is being blocked by some ISPs?
  • There are any firewall or geo-blocking settings enabled?

Looking forward to your support.

Thank you!
soumalya

All networks? one network? networks in the same location? same ISP? Same IT department?

No geo-blocks, and it works for me.

Best guess is DNS cache or network blocking policy

I have no problem trying to access your site. This is probably either DNS cache or a block somewhere on your side, such as by your network administrator, DNS resolver, ISP, or antivirus software.

This isn’t exactly something it’s possible for InfinityFree to do on their end. If you think that your ISP is blocking sites on InfinityFree, then you’d be the one who would have to contact them and figure that out.

InfinityFree doesn’t blanket ban any regions, and they don’t block specific IP addresses on a permanent basis. They will sometimes temporarily block IPs that have been used in a cyber attack against InfinityFree, but unless you’ve tried to pentest your site then I doubt that applies here.

What you can do is use a traceroute to try and determine where the connection is being interrupted.

It will terminate without reaching your website because the server blocks ping requests, but it will allow you to see where the connection is being interrupted.
