Error Message (404! We couldn’t find that page)

Please help I am an absolute beginner and am facing problems I have deactivated the same account twice as I was unable to install the SSL certificate as only one record name and c name was visible.

Please note that new websites can take up to 72 hours to be visible everywhere. We clearly say so in the orange banner in the client area.

So please stop moving your domain around. By moving it to different accounts all the time, you’re basically resetting the counters regarding how long it takes for your account to come online.

Just have patience and the issue will fix itself. Or click the link in the client area in the orange banner to learn more.

Thank you
but I had to disconnect my domain as I was unable to install the SSL certificate as there was only a single record name and a single location was available

I’m sorry, but I don’t understand that issue. What issue did you have with installing the SSL certificate? And how did you suppose removing the domain name would help? Has it changed anything?

There are supposed to be two records and two destinations to be added in the cname record right? there was only one of each showing to me making me unable to install the SSL certificate and I thought making a new account may help resolve the issue.

Can I do something to speed this process

Error update The site first showed itself correctly upon refreshing it is showing this error now.

Since you kept moving the domain, your database credentials are probably wrong now.

You need to login to FTP, find the file “wp-config.php” and edit the database settings so that they match what is stated in the client area.

As a rule of thumb: you need to setup the CNAME records shown. If there is only one record shown, you only need to setup one record.

Previously, you needed two CNAME records for Let’s Encrypt. But that was changed a few months ago to make setup easier.
