Other Information

This morning I received an email from infinityfree with this subject:
“…(Website for black-cloud.freecluster.eu) is suspended for inactivity!”
I actually verified that the pages of my site ( http://black-cloud.freecluster.eu/ ) were no longer online.
The email specifies the reason:
“Your account was deactivated because it received almost no visitors in the last 30 days”

?! It’s strange… I am absolutely sure that various pages of the site have been visited by different users, because I have already verified it by contacting them by email.
Furthermore, I myself (I deal with electronic music) have had access to the pages this month because, often, to review some schemes, I find it faster to navigate on the site than to search for the same data on the PC…
And so, how is it possible that the account was deactivated for inactivity?

Afterwards I entered the administration of my account and I have already been able to reactivate it successfully.
Last question… Infinityfree has always suspended accounts for sites not visited for a month, or is this something new?
Too bad, because very often you find data and information that, after having “slept” for a while on the internet, for some reason, become very useful and popular again…

accounts have always been suspended for inactivity. Its so that resources can be freed up for active sites. Also I’ve got a feeling that its actually a restriction put in place by IFastNet who provide the infastructure.

But if you log in you’ll be given the option to reactivate. Its a really quick process.

I’m not sure on the exact number, but I know a site needs more than 1 or 2 hits to remain active and not be suspended.

Unfortunaitly it’s just one of the limitations of free hosting

A minimum of 5 hits is needed to keep the account active.
