Welcome to the InfinityFree community forum! Good to have you here.

- Most people answering here are volunteers. They’re often the fastest source of help. Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end.
- Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong.
- AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first.
- Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened.

_Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look._

Could you run the check on [dnschecker.org](http://dnschecker.org) and tell me what it shows? Enter `mist.ct.ws` with record type A. Also tell me which internet provider and country you’re on. That separates a problem with the domain, which would affect everyone, from your network giving your browser the wrong answer, which would affect only you.

Your hosting account is active and `mist.ct.ws` is listed on it. A free subdomain has nothing for you to set up, so the cause is probably not your account. The article on this error says that if most locations show a red cross, the problem is with the domain. If most show an IP address, the problem is on your side. Some networks and providers filter free subdomains by returning “not found” for them.

If dnschecker shows it working, please also run these two commands in Command Prompt or Terminal and post the output:

```auto
nslookup mist.ct.ws
nslookup mist.ct.ws 1.1.1.1
```

The article that explains these checks is here:

> [@Why does my browser say my domain can't be found?](https://forum.infinityfree.com/docs?topic=121134):
>
> When you try to open your website, your browser says it can’t find the address. Depending on your browser, you will see an error like: This site can’t be reached Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site. ERR\_NAME\_NOT\_RESOLVED DNS\_PROBE\_FINISHED\_NXDOMAIN This means your browser couldn’t look up which server your domain points to. Before your browser can connect to a website, it asks a DNS server to translate the domain name into an IP address. If that lookup fails, your browser doesn’t even…

A lot of sub domains are down right now. I doubt it will last too long, but it is Sunday 1st day of the month as well, a lot of folks do maintenance on Sunday. 🙂
