Can you please screenshot your DNS configuration in Cloudflare? Don’t hide any information

Hi STasaR,

Your Cloudflare configuration might have pointed the domain somewhere else non-existent, just change the A record to the InfinityFree hosting IP (you can locate this information from the client area) and wait a few minutes or up to 24 hours before trying again.

This is not all. But that’s the area where infinityfree is relevant. I can show you the whole thing if you want.

I have the same problem and surprize I have the same IP of my website

Hi STasaR and Alex1224,

You only need to show me this. You need not disclose anything else publically here.

InfinityFree is a free shared hosting, so many websites use the same IP address. That’s why they have volumes.

From what I know so far, there have been multiple reports on similar IP ranges being down at the moment, so I’m not entirely sure if this is related. But I am sure that STasaR has the correct DNS configuration right there.

Maybe I don’t understand something, but right now me and STasaR both have the same IP address of ours websites and the same cloudfare dns A records. How do you think is that ok?

It is working now @STasaR. The IP may have down when you first posted.

Because that’s how shared hosting works. It wouldn’t be financially stable at all to offer dedicated IP hosting for free.

Hi Alex1224,

Having the same IP address has nothing to do with your website performance whatsoever, it simply means they are on the same network. Apart from financial reasons, IP addresses are finite, and people keep making babies and eventually, everyone has to get online, therefore IPv6 and different subnets exist just to enable everyone to share IP addresses.

The consideration here is that you have your own domain = your door number. Tens of websites can live in the same complex sharing the same avenue, but yet allowing visitors just fine. Sounds about right to me.

Fun fact, when you move house, your IP address changes, yet the previous person who lives there might have a chance of using that same IP address depending on your ISP’s practise.
