Wayback Machine

Hello, I hope all is well.

I was wondering how I would get my websites that are hosted with you guys on the Wayback Machine Internet Archive, that way if any of them broke they would be available for people including myself to view on there?

My question is, what do I need to do to allow that? None of my websites that I host with you guys are on there when I search for them, is there anything I can do to help them get my sites on there?

Thanks

The wayback machine crawler might be blocked by this:

Do note that the wayback machine is not magic, and they don’t just archive a URL out of the blue. You may try and submit an archive request manually, and if that doesn’t work, what I’ve said above applies.

Interesting stuff, yes I knew it never happened by magic, I think Reddit crawlers are involved in the archiving process somehow I think I remember reading, but don’t quote me on that as I have slept since then. I never knew I could manually request to them, I might spend an hour or two doing that, thanks for the clarification.

This got me thinking, so I went and searched the internet archive for my sites, and it does look like its worked… but that said, my sites do all have Cloudflare, so it may have archived it from Cloudflare’s cache…

I’ve successfully archived both my rf.gd flavoured subdomains and my jri.qzz.io domain without any issue. It does go to ?i=2 before Wayback accepts the cookie needed, but it works otherwise.

Did any of you have to do anything, or did it happen automatically? I don’t use Cloudflare.

I manually requested my site was archived some time ago, and then never thought any more of it, until looking at this today.

Given that @Jri-Creator’s sites have worked too, I’d say it should work even without Cloudflare
