We were talking about the website icon because the thing in the search results is supposed to be your website icon. The icon in Google not being the same as the one shown in the address bar is the strange part.

A few things you could try:
- Add an image of size 48x48 too. Google requires this size or a multiple of this size, and you only have 16x16 and 32x32.
- Request Google to reindex your home page to fetch the latest image: Ask Google to Recrawl Your Website | Google Search Central | Documentation | Google for Developers
