Subdomain Forward

Never had so much trouble creating a forwarding url/subdomain.

I just want store.example.com to send me to my store page…

The only place I can find that makes a WHATEVER_example_com name, creates a site
directory and everything. Fine was gonna try to forward via PHP. But right after making
the subdomain it kept forwarding me to some spam site, not my htdocs, so I figured
maybe it needs time to resolve, now if I try to go to my store_example_com, it trys to
use https only, so I get an ssl error. Uuuuggghhh.

Why is this so f-ing hard? Every other website manager i’ve ever had, had a drop down,
put in the subdomain’s name, select forwarding, redirect, masked, etc.Couple clicks.Done.

This seems like I gotta know dns this, cloudfare that, wiggle the worm…wtf.

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

If you log in to your InfinityFree account and go to Control Panel > Redirects

You should be able to set it up there. Make sure your .htaccess file is not redirecting to somewhere else too. Also check the settings for your store software to make sure it’s not redirecting to somewhere else. (e.g. forcing https).

Check this FAQ to make sure your SSL cert is set up correctly

What is your website’s URL?

I found that redirects thing, you pointed to, I think it was my browser auto switching to https…

I don’t know, I just checked again and everything’s working correctly, maybe it just needed time
to resolve too? I don’t know but got it fixed, sorry I was whining, was just super frustrated at the time.
