Custom SSL certificates are no longer supported for free subdomains. All free subdomains have SSL by default.
This free subdomain created in 2022 had the platform’s free SSL configured, which was renewed every three months. However, now it returns this error message when I want to renew it again as usual. The same happens if I try to create another SSL certificate from scratch. This is happening with all my subdomains of ebs-systems epizy com and ebs-systems 42web io.
I didn’t try to install it manually because the problem is when creating the SSL certificate. I don’t understand why it doesn’t work. The message says that all free subdomains have SSL by default, but mine don’t.
And what do I do to get my old subdomain to receive the default SSL? Should I remove the current certificate from the root ebs-systems.epizy.com and the subdomain web.ebs-systems.epizy.com?
No, your main free subdomain (ebs-systems.epizy.com) will automatically be protected by the default SSL, meaning you don’t need to delete the old certificate.
As for the sub-subdomain (web.ebs-systems.epizy.com), you can no longer get SSL certificates for them. This means your sub-subdomain site will no longer be protected with HTTPS. So, you should move the sub-subdomain site to a completely different subdomain or your main subdomain.
