Subject: SSL Certificate stuck on “Placing order at certificate provider” – holistica.love

Error Message

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with renewing the free SSL certificate for my domain holistica.love (account: if0_34695444).

Normally the SSL renews automatically without any issues, but today it has been stuck for the entire day at the step “Placing order at certificate provider…” with the progress bar not moving at all.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Waited several hours and refreshed the page
  • Deleted the existing certificate and created a new one from scratch
  • Clicked “Setup CNAME Record” again and confirmed the CNAME status shows Ready
  • Verified the CNAME record _acme-challenge.holistica.love is resolving correctly via whatsmydns.net

The CNAME details are:

Despite all of this, the process never completes and the page just stays stuck. The nameservers are correctly set to ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com.

Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be a Let’s Encrypt rate limit issue or a backend problem on InfinityFree’s side?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

It seems that Let’s Encrypt was having some issues earlier today with many errors get stuck, and errors suggesting that previously created orders no longer existed.

Whatever it was, it seems to be fixed now and SSL orders are processing normally.

Just to be sure, I restarted the issuance process for your certificate, which seems to have worked perfectly.
